Wife bashed over wearing a trousers

A CHITUNGWIZA man has been arrested for allegedly bashing his wife over wearing trousers.
Tapiwa Mukwasamombe, 25, stood before Chitungwiza magistrate Oliver Mudzongachiso charged with physical abuse.
The State, led by Edmond Ndambakuwa, alleges that on April 1, the complainant told Mukwasamombe that she wanted to visit her mother.
It was the State's case that the accused went on to hide the complainant's clothes whilst she was bathing and a misunderstanding arose when the complainant decided to wear a pair of trousers.
As a result, Mukwasamombe bashed her.
The court heard that the following day around 5am, the accused person went to the complainant's workplace and humiliated her before he bashed, pushing her against the wall.
According to the accused person the misunderstanding was based on the previous matters.
The complainant reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of Mukwasamombe.
The matter will be back in court on April 20 for trial continuation.
