There was drama at Turf police station in Kadoma on Independence Day when a constable assaulted his superior Assistant Inspector over control of a female officer.

Sources close to investigations allege constable Nhau violated the organisation's rules and regulations by ordering his wife constable Chimedza to stop compiling a memorandum as orders by Assistant Inspector Naison.

Chimedza is a wife to Nhau and he is believed to have ordered his wife to leave the charge office while leaving him to compile the memorandum.

Assistant Inspector Naison told Nhau that he was going against the organisation's rule and that angered him resulting in him assaulting his superior.

"The accused persongrabed the complainant by the throat and instantly head butterd him once on the mouth.

Blood gushed out of the wound and splashed all over the report book that the complainant had undertaken during his visit," revealed the source.

Two constables are reported to have refrained the violent Nhau from further assaulting his boss.

"The complainant was then ferried to Turf clinic for medication and returned after treatment to file his report but surprisingly Nhau had written down his report of assult against Naison under RRB number 34270504, but Naison could not be moved as he also filed his report under RRB number 34270505 and CR 30/94/18," added the source.

Meanwhile, police is investigating the matter.
