15 die in commuter omnibus crash

Fifteen people died on Sunday when a commuter omnibus traveling from Nyanga to Nyamaropa veered off the road and overturned at the Nyanga bus disaster spot.

Acting Manicaland Police Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Enock Chishiri confirmed the accident, saying 12 people died on the spot while three others died upon arriving at the Regina Coeli Mission Hospital.

Assistant Inspector Chishiri said 28 other people were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, police are still carrying out investigations to ascertain the cause of the accident.
