Heroes acre exclusively for ZANU

ZANU has shown a lack of respect for the nation's fallen heroes and heroines who do not share their ideologies. Mugabe has been quoted saying "the national shrine is a members' club only" and he has bluntly told the other political parties to build their own shrines.

The recent departure of Mrs Thenjiwe Lesabe (former politburo member and Cabinet minister) and the refusal by ZANU to honour her with national heroine status, has exposed ZANU PF's unfair standards. According to ZANU PF the only people who can be honoured as the nation's heroes are only ZANU members thereby implying that if one is not affiliated with them their contribution is meaningless.
