THE Lovemore Madhuku led National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) party said the MDC-T headquartered at the Harvest House was more or less like the ruling party in terms of following democratic principles, NewZimbabwe.com reported.
NCA national spokesperson Madock Chivasa said this when he was commenting on and comparing the manner in which the two parties (Zanu-PF and MDC-T) handled their primaries.
"There is no difference between that MDC and Zanu-PF. In fact, what is different between the two is the ages of their Presidents and nothing more," Chivasa told NewZimbabwe.com in Harare this week.
Chamisa is 40 years old and Zanu-PF leader Emmerson Mnagagwa is 75.
"When these political organizations have some internal misunderstandings they resolve them through violence and this was evident in the way the Chamisa team took over power after the death of Morgan Tsvangirai and in their aborted weekend primaries," said Chivasa.
"This is the same in Zanu-PF over the rest of its political life which has, however, not been the same since November when the former President Robert Mugabe was removed," he said.
NCA said unlike other political parties which were battling with conducting primary elections they were not going to do the same.
