Government has banned the police from demanding spot fines from motorists, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai has said.
Speaking during a question-and-answer session in the Senate yesterday, Tsvangirai said, "This issue of spot fines is a matter that was discussed (in Cabinet) and a policy was adopted that there will be no spot fines."
He added it was senseless to have an increased number of roadblocks and an equally increased number of accidents.
