The President and First Secretary of Zanu PF, Robert Mugabe has reiterated that elections will be held this year with or without the new constitution.
President Mugabe was addressing the party's 88th Central Committee meeting in Harare today.
Mugabe said those among his party members opposed to the holding of elections this year should join the MDC-T.
He warned that disunity among party members is costly, citing the incidents of 2006 and 2007 where former Politburo Members Simba Makoni left the party to form his own party, while Dumiso Dabengwa left to resuscitate ZAPU.
