Cold spell to continue

THE cold spell being experienced in the country yesterday saw temperatures dropping to minus four degrees Celsius at the Matopos while ground frost has been projected in some parts of the country, the Meteorological Department has said.
The department also forecast the cold spell to continue to Saturday.
In a statement yesterday, the Met Department said temperatures will drop drastically in some areas .
"Cold conditions prevailing across the country resulted in widespread frost reported this morning (yesterday). Matopos recorded to -4,2 degrees Celsius," said the department, warning of severe frost in Matopos, Kezi and Gweru today.
