Mnangagwa's Zimpapers consent to legal demand for fair coverage

Zimpapers the owners of The Herald, The Sunday Mail and Star FM has consented to a legal demand to avail equal, fair and honest coverage to political players.
Veritas and others sued the state media entities that included ZBC, BAZ and Zimpapers for not sticking to the law that requires them to provide fair and unbiased coverage to all political players.
The application demanded the state media entities to provide equal access to divergent views regardless of affiliation. The legal demand asked the entities to cover all people regardless of party political affiliation, that they do not favour one political party, candidate, cause or person.
ZBC has not yet responded to the application. The application was filed in Masvingo.
