Chaos is likely to rock the MDC Alliance during nomination court amid revelations the MDC-T Provincial chairpersons have ditched the alliance and divided to field candidates in places where some alliance partners were allocated those seats.

MDC-T is part of the seven-member alliance in which the seats were shared among member parties.

Close sources said the MDC Alliance has been rocked by commotion as MDC-T provincial chairperson seem to have dumped their leader Nelson Chamisa and the alliance to field candidates in areas where other partners were allocated to contest under the alliance.

"There is commotion in the MDC Alliance and tomorrow is the last day of its existence as provincial chairpersons of the MDC-T have dumped their leader Chamisa saying the issue of a coalition is of those who are at the top, not the parliamentarians and Councillors," said the source.

"Tomorrow is the end of  the MDC Alliance and you will see MDC-T members fielding candidates in all constituencies against the Alliance principles."

For instance, MDC-T activists on Saturday in Matabeleland South boycotted the MDC Alliance rally addressed by Welshman Ncube through the advice of Senator of Gwanda Bheki Sibanda who aspires to be MDC-T MP for Gwanda North. Sibanda is reported to have gone around advising people not to attend the rally.

MDC Alliance allocated Gwanda North to MDC led by Ncube amid challenge from Sibanda and other MDC-T supporters who claim their party has overwhelming support in the area hence there is no need for the alliance.

However, sources in the area said Sibanda will tomorrow submit nomination papers as an independent candidate as he believes he has a significant following.
