Female pupils at Tsetse Primary School, 27 kilometers along Bulawayo - Plumtree road are said to be subjected to random virginity tests in front of their male classmates.
Parents at the school claim that they were not consulted.
It is said that school authorities accuses grade seven pupils of sleeping around with some of them protecting their abusers at home.
Officials from the Child protection committee and school authorities would order girls to undress, lie on top of desks and spread their legs for inspection.
Male pupils would be watching. In case of poor lighting at the classrooms the examiners would light up torches.
School Development Committee chairperson Mandon Tshuma defended the virginity tests.
"We realized that several girls at the school were failing to full concentrate on their studies because there are sexually abused.
"To us it's a good move and move tests would be done on the girls to expose the male culprits" said Tshuma.
