Mohadi, Muchinguri injured in Bulawayo bomb explosion

A mysterious explosion thought to be a grenade or bomb has exploded at President Emmerson Mnangagwa's rally in Bulawayo.

Many including VP Kembo Mohadi, minister Oppah Muchinguri are believed to have been injured.

Mnangagwa was at White City stadium as part of his national campaign ahead of general elections scheduled for July 30.



Mnangagwa's spokesperson George Charamba confirmed to State media adding the President had not been affected

"President Mnangagwa has not been injured and is at Bulawayo State House. Investigations are underway and more details will be given to the public. There have been multiple attempts on the President's life over the past five years," Charamba reportedly said.
