MDC MP arrested

MDC-T legislator for Nyanga North Constituency, Mr. Douglas Mwonzora has been arrested.
Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent, Oliver Mandipaka said Mwonzora was arrested outside parliament at around 4pm on Tuesday on allegations of actively participating in a politically motivated violence that occurred over the weekend at Chatindo School in Nyanga.
Chief Superintendent Mandipaka said Mwonzora and 17 others who have since been arrested assaulted ZANU PF youths and stoned Taziva country hotel where the youths had sought refuge.
The gang is further alleged to have broken 54 window panes and asbestos sheets at the hotel.
