Zanu-PF National Chairman, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo told a delegation of German parliamentarians that Zimbabwe will complete its constitution without external interference.
Ambassador Moyo was addressing a delegation of German parliamentarians comprising members from different parties in that country.
The Zanu-PF National Chairman stuck to the long held position by the party that the constitution making exercise is a Zimbabwean issue that should be handled by local people until finality.
"Our draft constitution must encompass the views of the people of Zimbabwe because this is a Zimbabwean constitution," said Ambassador Moyo.
Head of the delegation, Mr Stephan Liebich also affirmed that the constitution making exercise has to be completed this year and expressed hope that elections will also be held in the shortest possible time.
"We hope that you will hold your referendum next month and have your elections before the end of this year," Mr Liebich said.
The number of delegations seeking business opportunities and bilateral relations with Zimbabwe continues to increase.
Analysts have pointed out that the European nation has since realised that investment opportunities are more crucial than playing hardball politics and getting caught up in a purely bilateral matter which is essentially between Zimbabwe and Britain.
