Habakkuk Trust director Dumisani O Nyongolo Nkomo has said given the unlevel electoral playing field in the elections MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa did well in the results announced though there is an element of great fraud.

"Given the uneven playing field including a partisan public media and lack of resources Chamisa did very well .Beyond electoral challenges that they will mount as a party it is critical for the M.D.C A to then critically evaluate their weaknesses including internal structural deficiencies and failure to capture the rural vote," he said.

"Voting trends clearly indicate that the average Zimbabwean voter who is not an activist or civil society practitioner has binary political lens and thus there is little room for independents and smaller parties who have genuine causes, interests and causes but will not make headway in a bi partisan political electoral playing field where the contest is between M.D.C and ZANU P.F."
