Mthwakazi Republic Party spokespersonm Mbonisi Gumbo has said he thinks its now clear to everyone that Zimbabwe is a military state, even to those who were saying Pfee.
"The problem did not start yesterday. The army has been brutalizing people since ED took over but people chose to keep quiet. The military government brutalized people from the word go,"he said.
"We all got news that the army was unleashed on MRP youths beginning of the year, people chose to be silent. In fact, some were not silent, they said it was correct what the army was doing to silence MRP. When people were stopped from installing their king or MRPs rallies were stopped in Bulawayo using the brutal police force, democratic voices remained silent. When the police arrested MRP for protesting against TM Pick and Pay some people applauded the police."
He said he was shocked to hear people and observers saying there was no violence or the police allowed everyone to campaign freely.
"So people were silent as long as it was not affecting them. At least 3 people were killed yesterday in Harare but I say it is because people never stood up when evil things were happening, some applauded the brutal state security forces instead," he said.
"I think we should learn to condemn an evil act even if it's not directed at us. I think Zanupf supporters should also join the country in condemning this barbaric act by the Gukurahundists. They will be coming for you in the near future."
