Biti charged for inciting violence

MDC Alliance principal Tendai Biti has been charged for inciting violence and illegally announcing results. He appeared before Harare Magistrate Francis Mapfumo at the Rotten Row Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Bail is set at $5000 and the state did not oppose.
Bail conditions are that Biti surrenders passport, title deeds and does not interfere with witnesses.
Another condition is that he doesn't address any political gathering
He should reports to CID twice a day - in morning and in evening.
One of Biti's lawyers, Denford Haliman said there will be another court hearing tomorrow at 9.am where the defence will raise technicalities regarding circumstances in which he was arrested.
