MDC Alliance activist Daniel Hanyana (57) of Mutenzi village, ward 5, Nyanyadzi in Chimanimani west constituency got his kitchen hut torched by a suspected ZANU PF supporter on Sunday afternoon.

District chairman for MDC Alliance Freddy Dziwande confirmed the case saying villagers from Hotsprings are under fire from ZANU PF supporters after their polling station at Hotsprings primary voted in favour of MDC Alliance from ward level.

"ZANU PF threatened doom for Hotsprings villagers after Hotsprings polling station voted in favour of MDC Alliance so we are very sure that Hanyana's kitchen was burnt by ZANU PF supporters," confirmed Dziwande.

Dziwande alleges a ZANU PF activist Tawanda Chimukuwe threatened to burnt houses of MDC Supporters houses four days ago.

"We suspect Chimukuwe is the one who burnt the kitchen because he threatened two of our supporters Patience Billy and Tawanda Bishau saying their polling station voted for MDC Alliance hence their houses were going to be torched."

A police report was made at Nyanyadzi police station under RRB number 30975 and they attended the scene where kitchen utensils were erased.

Efforts to contact ZANU PF Manicaland province chairman Mike Madiro were futile.

In another case MDC Alliance deputy national chairman Chamunorwa Madya has gone into hiding after security details reportedly harassed him over a MDC Alliance polling agent advert that had his number.

Madya said he left his Chitungwiza homestead after receiving threatening calls from suspected military intelligence details.

He further alleges that he the intelligence details have been using a silver commuter omnibus and a Toyota twin cab white in colour registration number AEC 6090 to raid his house at any time of the day.

"I am in hiding as I am talking to you suspected intelligence details took my number on our polling agents advert, they are accusing us of inciting violence that claimed lives weeks ago, but surprisingly our advert was before elections since we wanted polling agents in all constituencies," lamented Madya.
