Man who tried to break into Zanu-PF office jailed

Bid to break into an Mvurwi ZANU PF offices landed a notorious Chitsungo thief in jail after he was convicted of 5 counts of unlawful entry and theft charges together with one attempted unlawful entry at Guruve magistrate yesterday.
Nelson Sharwa was slapped with 4 years jail term for five counts unlawful entry and stealing goods worth $2500 and an additional $200 fine for attempted unlawful entry by Guruve resident magistrate Mr Shingirai Mutiro.
Public prosecutor Spiwe Makarichi told the court that Sharwa committed a series of five unlawful entry and theft of electrical gadgets targeting shops and two residential places in Mvurwi where he stole goods worth $2500 from 2016 to June this year.
Sharwa was finally arrested after he tried to break into ZANU PF offices in Mvurwi and he told the police of his previous crimes.
The magistrate sentenced him to 4 years imprisonment , of which one year was suspended on condition that Sharwa does not commit a similar offence in the next five years, one year was suspended on condition he resituate the stolen property.
For the attempted unlawful entry Sharwa was fined $200 failure to pay would earn him two months in jail.
