Hospital worker bashed, robbed

A Mvurwi hospital worker was reportedly bashed by an unknown assailant before being robbed of his Gtel mobile phone while coming from a local night club on Friday night.
Sources familiar with the incident allege Tawanda Chirunga was attacked around 2000hrs yesterday before being rushed to Mvurwi hospital after he was cried for help.
"Chirunga was robbed of his phone by one suspect who is not yet known, he kicked him several times in his stomach and he shouted for help there by alerting security guards who rushed him to hospital while the culprit fled," confirmed the source.
He is reported to have been transferred to Parirenyatwa group of hospital after he sustained internal injuries.
Robbery cases are on the increase in Mvurwi in this harvesting period.
