Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Zimbabwean Defence minister has admitted that his country has no military capability to stand against 'bullying' Western nations.
Speaking at a public lecture at Midlands State University on Thursday, Mnangagwa said, "In our case, we might not have the military capability matching that of Western countries, but united we can stand against any aggression.".
"Zimbabwe has never been an international security threat, but "bullying" Western countries declare war on other nations without being invited," added Mnangagwa.
The minister said it was not the military might that threatens the sovereignty of any country, but lack of resolve to unite and stand against external threat.
"When we repossessed land from the minority whites to give it to blacks, it was not a threat to international peace but a way to consolidate it (peace)," he said.
The Defence minister accused Britain and the United States of abusing the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) to declare war on other countries. "Britain and (Barack) Obama are international gangsters. In Libya they used Nato to declare war without being invited. Now they are drilling oil and this does not benefit Libya at all," he said.
