Byo bound bus kills one, injures 28 in accident

One person died and 28 others were injured when a Bulawayo bound Eagle Liner bus was involved in an accident with a goods train yesterday.
The accident occurred at the rail level crossing between Kadoma Ranch Motel and Dairiboard when the goods train hit the rear end of the bus.
Zimbabwe Republic Police National Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Blessmore Chishaka confirmed the development.
He said the person died on the way to Kadoma Hospital.
Meanwhile the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) says it regrets the accident in which a life was lost but however reiterated that drivers should be cautious when approaching rail-road crossing points.
NRZ Public Relations Manager, Mr Phanuel Masikati expressed concern at the number of accidents at rail level crossing points, saying one cannot win a war against a train.
Mr Masikati said 12 people are still admitted at Kadoma General Hospital.
