Mberengwa residents are now living in panic mode following two murder cases in a space of two days.
The recent murder occurred this Thursday and the body was discovered at Mberengwa primary school grounds in a decomposing state.
Police failed to identify the deceased, leading the public to conclude that it could be that of a homestead keeper cum illegal miner, named Method.
Method was however later seen by his wife three days back while going to the beer hall.
Residents said the increase in murder cases in the area is now a cause for concern.
The murder case comes hard on the heels of another murder case on Wednesday which saw another man being butchered while coming from the beer hall.
The deceased's body was ferried to Zvishavane District Hospital for post mortem.
Efforts to get a comment from Midlands Police Spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende were fruitless as her mobile phone was switched off.
