Man caught drinking beer at court

The love for the illicit bottle of (Kachasu) landed a 32-YEAR-OLD Guruve man behind bars after he was caught drinking the beer at Guruve magistrates' courts yesterday.
Katuruza Amos (32) of Penros farm in Guruve was arrested for drinking Kachasu while he was set to appear for an assault allegation he reportedly committed in June this year.
Guruve resident magistrate Mr Shingirai Mutiro remanded him in custody to 3 October 2018 for consuming liquor at a prohibited place as defined in Section 34 of the Liquor Act.
At his next court appearance Katuruza will be answering to two counts one for assault and for consuming liquor at a prohibited place.
Ms Spiwe Makarichi represented the state.
