Man loses 'Toyota Raum' to robbers

A 25-YEAR-OLD Glendale motorist was reportedly robbed of his White Toyota Raum registration number AED 4845 and his $30 by two unknown suspects who purported to be hiring the car.
Mashonaland Central acting police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Petros Masikati confirmed the incident.
"Walter Homodza of Rujeko suburb, Glendale was approached by the suspects on 14 September 2018 around 2100hours and was tricked by two who said they wanted to carry their mother to Concession hospital from Portia farm, Glendale," Masikati said.
The two allegedly boarded the car and one sat on the front seat while the other sat at the back upon arriving Portia farm turn off the suspect at the front seat grabbed the steering ordering the driver to stop, the one at the back used a cloth to strangle the driver and he stopped.
The suspect at the front disembarked and sat behind the wheel, they struck Homodza with a sharp object and he became unconscious, tired him on both legs and hands before dumping him at Baunhia farm near a hill.
The duo is still at large drove to an unknown destination leaving Homodza unconscious, he subsequently gained conscious around midnight and went to Glendale police to file a report.
Masikati urged motorists to deal with people they know especially at night and implored people with information of the missing car to visit the nearest police station.
"We are appealing to the public with information of the missing car to report to the nearest police station and also we urge motorists to avoid doing businesses with people they do not know especially at night," Masikati said.
