Kombi accident death toll rises to 6

One person died at Parirenyatwa Hospital this morning raising the death toll of the Tsatsi commuter omnibus accident to 6.
The woman who was transferred from Mvurwi Hospital to Parirenyatwa Hospital lost the battle after sustaining injuries in yesterday's horror accident.
Six of the eight people admitted at Mvurwi Hospital have since been discharged whilst all who were at Concession Hospital were also discharged.
Crimes Department head Assistant Commissioner Phyllis Madya confirmed that the relatives of the deceased have all be contacted.
Assistant Commissioner Padya cautioned motorists against speeding and overloading urging them to follow road rules to avoid road carnages.
Meanwhile, Mashonaland Central Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Cde Monica Mavhunga visited the injured patients at Mvurwi and Concession Hospitals and wished them a speedy recovery, offered condolences to the deceased's families, and pledged government support on road rehabilitation.
"We extend our humble condolences to the bereaved families who lost their lives in this accident, for those injured and admitted we wish you all a speedy recovery," she said.
As government will continue efforts to ensure safety of our roads through road rehabilitation programmes and construction of Pembi Bridge is underway in Mvurwi.
Four people died on the spot while two others were pronounced dead at Mvurwi and Parirenyatwa Hospitals respectively when the commuter omnibus they were traveling in veered off the road and crushed yesterday.
This becomes the second in succession along the Mazowe-Centenary route after four people perished in a Toyota Wish accident last week.
