Former Chronicle Editor Mduduzi Mathuthu has accused President Emmerson Mnangagwa of lying tying that the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission was put in place top deal with Gukurahundi issue saying he must simple release the Chihambakwe and Dumbutshena commissions reports.
Former President Robert Mugabe in the past appointed the two commissions which probed the 1980s atrocities but never made the findings public.
"Mnangagwa lied on CNN that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission is a Gukurahundi Inquiry, like Chihambakwe. He claims they will publish their findings and he will be "man enough" to apologise. This is all fiction. Just publish Chihambakwe, no need to wait," Mathuthu said.
