Stop giving important tenders to petty criminals

A political commentator Dr Pedzisai Ruhanya has warned the government to stop giving vital tenders to petty criminals who stand accused of sabotaging government programmes through failure to execute the projects while they have gobbled all the money allocated to them.
This come in the wake of Wicknell Chivayo having been granted a $5 million Gwanda solar project tender which failed to yield any progress.
"Public tenders like ZESA installations should not be given to petty criminals with no business records under fake claims of empowerment ; a colleague here asked what could have been of the Gwanda ZESA project and its community had the tender been given to Masiyiwa for instance?," Ruhanya said.
