"They have been having squabbles for the past three days. Mona had decided to move on and end the relationship with Pritchard but this did not go down well with him. He even told Monalisa's friend, Lizzie, that he was going to kill himself at her house and today (Yesterday) he took advantage of the fact that the girl was alone," revealed the relative.
The late Monalisa's brother, identified as Tanya, who was in a state of disbelief, said he was the first to discover his sibling's lifeless body in a pool of blood.
"I can not say anything at the moment. I was the first to see her body in blood and please leave this place because we do not want you here," said the grieving brother.
The alleged killer reportedly left the knife stuck in the girl's breast, according to a witness. Zimondi has since been arrested and is currently held at Makoni police station assisting the police with investigations.
A cop stationed at the police station confirmed this development on condition of anonymity citing protocol as the reason.
"Yes, the deceased was stabbed FIRTEEN times and we are currently holding the suspect to assist us with investigations," revealed the cop.
