A head-on collision between Tombs bus and a haulage truck at Waverly Bus Stop in Kadoma on Friday, resulted in the death of 3 people and left 7 injured.
Police say the accident occurred when a Tombs bus encroached onto the road from a bus stop and collided with an oncoming haulage truck which in turn veered off the road on impact, hitting two kombis and the 10 people in the process.
Police Spokesperson for Mashonaland West Province, Inspector Clemence Mabweazara told reporters four of the injured were in a critical condition while three have already been discharged from Kadoma hospital after receiving treatment.
He said the Tombs bus driver hurriedly took off from the bus stop without due care as he tried to run away from municipal police who wanted to clamp the bus for wrongful parking.
