Zapu spokesperson Iphithule Maphosa have expressed concerns over the alarming number of the members of the Central Intelligence organisation, police and Zanu-PF thugs at the Commission of inquiry led by Kgalema Motlanthe hearing in Bulawayo on Friday.

"At Motlanthe's Commission hearing in Bulawayo, there were more CIOs, Police, ZANU-PF thugs than people. Kgalema must be ashamed for such a scandalous stunt by Mnangagwa in which he's being used as a condom. What a disgraceful act by Motlanthe to come all the way from SA to sanitize ZANU-PF and Mnangagwa, after the two obliterated ZAPU that fought side by side with ANC of SA while ZANU sided with PAC. What a disgrace for Montlante to make Gukurahundi aggrieved victims listen to ZANU-PF parroted and nonsensical evidence as given by four of the seven witnesses who took to the stand," Maphosa said.

"The four ZANU-PF gramophones were Taurai Kundishaya, Mlungisi Moyo, Mabutho Moyo and Mbuso Sibanda. What a scandal for Montlante to abuse the people of Matebeleland by pretending to be collecting evidence when these witnesses were grilled by the CIO on Wednesday at Magnet House, one of the buildings ZANU-PF forcefully grabbed from ZAPU at the onset of Gukurahundi."

He said has Kgalema Motlanthe joined the bandwagon of former African struggle stalwarts who have betrayed the aims and objectives of the African struggle for freedom and self determination?

"He is joined in his commission by a British dude whose career is being commissioner in troubled hotspots outside Britain, ironically. Anyone will be forgiven for suspecting and even convincing oneself that he could be part of cabals that sponsor conflict especially in Africa so that they turn around as commissioners to enquire on who killed our African brothers and sisters," he said.
