There has been high speculation that Former Finance deputy minister Terence Mukupe has relocated to Mozambique after he posted a Facebook picture of himself in Beira and captioned it: I love my new home. Mukupe has been posting status and picture on social from the Mozambique for sometime.

Since his defeat by Hon. Tendai Biti at the Harare East Constituency election, which was dubbed battle of the titans, Mukupe has been keeping a low political profile but has been a heavy critic of ZANU PF  and its activities.

Mukupe's status about his new home was met with many well wishes from friends who wished him well in his new home.

When President Mnangagwa appointed Professor Mthuli Ncube and  George Guvamatanga as Finance Minister and Permanent Secretary respectively, Mukupe said, "A failed banker and a failed intelligence guru is equal to zero.

"Mthuli has inherited chinhu chainge chakawora... The rot started with the Gono Era. The only variable at the RBZ has been the change of Governor... Dr John bond Mangudya has kept the status quo.

"The same people that presided over the failure of over 17 financial institutions without a single person being arrested are still running the show.

"The Mugabe Era financial engineers who presided over the economic demise of this country are still the very same people who are expected to turn around the fortunes of this country. I do not see how Prof Mthuli will succeed if we do not reform all the way and have a clean slate at RBZ and Min of Finance. Let us reform all the way and not in bits and pieces."

Mukupe is a former banker on Wall Street.
