ZANU PF Youth League has officially commented on the reports of an alleged plan to demonstrate against Vice President Chiwenga on 12 November.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Zanu-PF Secretary for Youth, Lewis Matutu said the Youth League does not have a program of action to demonstrate against the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

"There is a false and very mischievous information circulating on social media where it is alleged that the Youth league is going to demonstrate against Hon VP Chiwenga, said Matutu.

"Please be informed that ZANU PF Youth league can never undermine the leadership of the party in any way and VP Chiwenga is part of the party's presidium which is doing great work for the people of Zimbabwe and young people, in particular.

Matutu fingered the opposition MDC as being suspected to be behind the reports of the alleged demonstration.

"It is our strongest suspicion that opposition forces are responsible for the confusion and this can never be allowed ,MDC Alliance have failed to destabilise our country after a lot of effort they must stay away from ZANU PF and it s leadership because they are not our members."

Matutu further added,"Speculating false, divisive and misleading information about our leadership is unacceptable, there is no and will never be any demonstration against anyone in the hierarchy of the party by the youth league."

Social media users who commented on Matutu's statement urged him not to blame MDC but to focus on solving the visible challenges that are bedevilling the ruling party ZANU PF.

Shepard Ndlela said,"How does MDC alliance come to play in ZANU PF circus? We all know Zanu eats Zanu."

"I don't think running away from the crucial matter and origin of that message would solve anything. My advise is as Zimbabweans we are concerned and can see there are issues in ZANU PF in as much as there issues in MDC. So accept that this is a ZANU PF matter and solve it for betterment of our country,"commented another user John Cassim.
