Train derails in Beitbridge

A goods train has derailed after hitting a truck on the Masvingo-Beitbridge highway and rail crossing.
Traffic has been brought to a halt and cannot gain access into the border town using the route.
Unverified reports say the locomotive which was en-route to South Africa hit the haulage truck trailer.
The rail has suffered massive damage and was torn off on a more than 50 metres stretch.
The truck driver refused to give his account of what happened to the ZBC News, saying he is too traumatiszed, while the crew of the locomotive is understood to have been taken to hospital.
