South Africa's Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Knowledge Nkanyezi Gigaba has resigned. He tendered his resignation to President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday.
Gigaba indicated in his letter of resignation that he was stepping aside for the sake of our country and the African National Congress that he belongs to and to relieve the President from undue pressure and allow him to focus on improving the lives of the people of South Africa and for him to do the best he can to serve the country and save it from this economic meltdown.
Gigaba was in the eye of a storm recently when a video showing him engaging in activities of obscene nature leaked to the public and circulated all over social media.
