Policeman caught stealing meat using fake ecocash

A Harare policeman has been arrested for defrauding a butchery using a fake Ecocash transfer message, we can reveal.
The accused Jacob Zengeya from Mabvuku is an employee of the Zimbabwe Republic Police stationed at the ZRP Support Unit.
It is the state's case that,"On 14 November 2018 at around 1855hours Zengeya entered into Fairprice butchery intending to buy meat. He pretended as if he was making anEecocash transaction and showed the complainant Godknows Mawisire a fake Ecocash message of the transaction of $115."
The accused person allegedly ordered 3,63 KG beef, 4.21 KG pork and 4.66 KG chicken cuts and the meat was packed for him.
"Before Zengeya left the shop, the complainant realised that he did not receive the Ecocash confirmation message of the transaction that was made by the accused and demanded to see the confirmation message of the transaction on the accused person's phone."
Mawisire discovered that the accused person had shown him a fake Ecocash confirmation message which he had edited on his cell phone.
The complainant made a police report leading to the arrest of Zengeya.The total value of $115 was recovered.
