Wife catches hubby (32) raping her 4-year-old daughter

A 33-year-old Epworth man was reportedly caught red-handed raping his four-year-old step daughter in the house. Eddie Ngoma (not real name for the protection of the victim) was alone with the child in the house before raping her. he was caught in the middle of the act and out of shame, he shoved the minor to the ground.

He was not asked to plead to rape when he appeared before Harare magistrate Anita Tshuma. he was remanded in custody to 21 May and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

It is the State's case that on 3 May, the accused took the child and placed her on his lap. He allegedly took the opportunity to rape the minor. The court heard that the child's mother walked into the room and caught her husband raping the little girl. he then shoved the infant to the floor after being caught red handed, it is alleged.

The court also heard that the mother could not stomach seeing her daughter being violated and alerted her neighbours and a report to police was made leading to the accused's arrest. The man will be back in court for his routine remand. Prosecutor Ellaine Mokora is appearing for the State.
