Veteran Journalist Tin chigodo dies at 74

Veteran journalist and former Manica Post editor Tim Chigodo has died at 74.
Chigodo died at his home in Hatfield, Harare, yesterday morning.
His son David said his father collapsed and died at around 8am. David said his father was fit and did not show any signs of illness.
"He didn't have any notable illness," said David.
"He was always fit, but today (Sunday) he collapsed and died," David said.
Chigodo worked for The Times of Zambia in Lusaka in the 1970's before joining the Zimbabwe Newspapers stable after independence.
He worked as an assistant news editor of The Herald before his promotion to Editor of The Manica Post in Mutare in 1985.
He later came back to The Herald as political editor.
Chigodo retired from The Herald in 2003 after working for several years as senior sub editor.
He is survived by his wife Virginia and five children.
Mourners are gathered at number 167 Kilwinning Road, Hatfield, Harare.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
