Man offers $5 as maintenance for two children

A Harare man has offered $5 as maintenance for his two children.
Joseph Mushonga stunned a packed court where he had been dragged by estranged wife Jessie Kutya claiming $150 for the two children.
But Mushonga offered to take one of the children to his parents and pay for the other.
"I am a conductor and earn $150 so I cannot afford the money she is claiming," said Mushonga.
"I will take the other child to my parents and I will give her $5 to maintain the other one."
However, the former wife said the husband was earning more than he was claiming.
"He is lying, he does not want to take care of his children," said the ex wife.
Harare magistrate Miriam Banda ordered Mushonga to pay $80 per month and school fees for their oldest child.
