A 26-year-old Harare woman yesterday cried in court after she was told to STAY AWAY from her married boyfriend.
Betina Chisvo was brought to court by her boyfriend's wife, Loveness Mavengedze seeking a protection order against her.
Loveness revealed that Betina had an affair with her husband but the husband is no longer interested in her despite the fact that they have a child together. Her husband is renting her (Betina) a house and buys them some groceries but Betina sometimes visits their matrimonial home around midnight which is disturbing.
"I don't want Betina to come to my house because my husband supports her at the expense of our kids at home. I sometimes go to her place of residence with food since my husband does not want her anymore. She usually comes to our place lying that the child is sick as a way of drawing my husband's attention and it disturbs us," said Loveness.
In her response, Betina said her boyfriend is no longer supporting her and the child so she will be going to his house looking for money. Betina said: "He is not supporting us anymore so I go to his place to get some money. I won't stop going there until he gives us enough money."
Magistrate Milton Serima who presided over the case granted a protection order in Loveness favour. Betina was told to apply for maintenance and she was BARRED from visiting Loveness' place. Betina was however, taken out of courtroom after she started crying.
