ZIMRA workers engage in strike

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority and Allied Workers Trade Union (ZIMRATU) have announced that their workers will not be attending work from Monday 14 January.
In a letter to the Commissioner General ZIMRATU President said, "Concerned about the rapid deterioration of conditions of work of our members across the country and the effects thereof inter alia:
• The bus fare to work is $10 return trip against the $3 return trip being paid by the employer
• Fuel increase at 234%
Now therefore given the foregoing, it is thus declared as follows: Most of our members are unable to report for duty with effect from the 14th of January 2019 due to incapacitation."
