Man thoroughly beats prophet for being adulterous with his wife

A Harare Prophet was given a thrashing by his adulterous lover's husband who unrevealed their affair. Madzibababa Eddison of Johane Yechishanu of Dzivarasekwa learnt the painful way when he was given a thorough thrashing by one of his regular clients, Reason Gomo, after he discovered that he was having an affair with his wife, Marais Mupanda.

The brawl occured on Sunday at the prophet's house, attracting the attention of passers-by. A report was made at Harare Central Police after the brawl. Reason said he discovered the illicit affair after he came across Madzibaba Eddison's romantic text message in Marais' phone.

"I was introduced to Madzibaba Eddison by one of my friends who regularly consult him for prayers at his shrine. The prophet ended up helping me as well and I decided to introduce him to my wife. I never knew that since that day they have been in touch. I only came to know about it recently when I browsed through my wife's text messages," he said.

One of the messages reads: "Wakazotiyi nenyaya yedu iya, kana tikashaya nguva tinongoita romance chete (What did you say about our issue? If we can't create time then we will just skip to romance)"

Reason also said that he does not regret beating up Madzibaba Eddison because he ruined his life.
"I gave him a thorough hiding and I don't regret in any way. I used to trust him because I thought he was a man of God, only to find out that he was actually after my wife. At times he would advise me to go out of town saying it was part of his prophecy. I only got to know that he was fake after my wife confessed that it was a strategy to get access to my wife and have quality time with her," said Reason.

Reason added that Madzibaba Eddison was milking his wife of her money.
"Besides having quality time with my wife, I also discovered that he had gone to the extent of demanding money from my wife without my knowledge. H ewas recently given $50 by my wife and I have also noticed that she was sending him airtime recharge cards and he was in possession of my cellphones after he asked for it from my wife," He said.

Responding to the claims, Prophet Eddison DENIED having an affair with Marais. In fact, he accused Marais of PROPOSING love to him.

"I never proposed love to her but it was the other way round. I have never asked her to give any favours but she is the one who insisted on giving me money and sending me airtime. It is true that I was given a cellphone by his wife but she gave it to me when my phone had a problem saying that she wanted to communicate with me. I was not in a position to tell him that his wife was asking me out because I was not sure of how he was going to react. As you know, these are very sensitive issues and I didn't have the courage to tell him. He managed to beat me up because he had hired thugs that accompanied me to house but if it was one on one he would not have beaten me up," said Madzibaba Eddison.

When we contacted Marais to give her own side of the story, she said: "I have nothing to say regarding that matter. I am sure you had enough information from my husband and Madzibaba Eddison."
