The Zanu-PF Politburo has resolved, in its extra-ordinary meeting held on Thursday, that Daniel Shumba of Masvingo and Goodwill Shiri of Mberengwa (Midlands) remain expelled from the Party after standing against Party sponsored candidates in past elections.
In a statement, Secretary for Information and Publicity, Rugare Gumbo, said the Politburo reaffirmed the Party's position that Daniel Shumba the founder and leader of the United People's Party (UPP) expelled himself from Zanu-PF when he formed his party and must follow laid down procedures if he wants to be readmitted as a member of the revolutionary Party.
"Goodwill Shiri expelled himself from the Party when he stood as an independent candidate against the Party's candidate in the 2005 elections and has not yet been readmitted into the Party and he must follow established procedures to be readmitted into the Party," the statement read.
Gumbo further said provinces have no authority to handle these cases which can only be dealt with by the Politburo and the Central Committee upon request as the two organs have the final say.
"We are therefore advising all Zanu-PF members that Daniel Shumba and Goodwill Shiri have no right to represent the Party in any capacity until they have been cleared," he said.
