Norton Member of Parliament is pushing for a cabinet reshuffle that will corrupt Ministers who practice red tape being reshuffled.
"I continue to insist that a reshuffle is needed. Corruption is so deeply imbedded and we can't expect a different result with the same faces especially the bureaucrats." Mliswa said from his current base in Switzerland where he is attending the World Economic Forum.
Mliswa is alleged to be eyeing the Ministry of Mines and want to use his proximity to President Emmerson Mnangagwa to be a replacement for Minister Chitando.
He has been the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Mines for the past two parliaments.
Mliswa also took the opportunity to defend himself on the controversies surrounding his utterances on South African Televisions where he openly supported the killings of people by the army.
Find his full statement below:
There has been much controversy surrounding my remarks on TV. Firstly is any murder justifiable?
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with a Constitutional, peaceful demonstration/protest, but when such infringes on other people's right to movement, becomes violent, causes damage to property or is hijacked by hooligans, security forces are mandated to step in to quell riots
I can't speak on behalf of individual cases that I'm not privy to, but do believe that where incidents occurred that investigations should take place. It's unfortunate that at times people take advantage of confusion but investigations should help to establish things
Overall my prayer for Zimbabwe is that we come out as one Nation. I pray for everyone who lost their lives & their families, May Their Dear Souls Rest In Peace.
Death in any circumstance is never easy. God for us all
