The Zimbabwe National Army has condemned the acts of violence perpetrated by alleged members of the military to unsuspecting citizens.
This was said in a letter signed by the Army Public Relations Director Alphios Mokotore.
"The Zimbabwe National Army has noted with concern allegations of violence by people purporting to be members of the organization. These actions by these bogus elements have subsequently put the image of the organization into disrepute."
The army also urged members of the public to report to the military police if they are abused.
"In view of the foregoing, ZNA would like to urge members of the public to report any acts of misconduct by anyone purporting to be a member of the organization."
