Mnangagwa implements Motlanthe Commission report

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has implemented the recommendations by the Kgalema Motlanthe led commission that investigated into the 1 August post-election violence that left 6 people killed by the members of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.
Motlanthe Commission recommended that government must investigate the individuals linked to the killings and also the country must engage in a national dialogue for healing.
In a statement on Monday the Ministry on Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services said, "Government remains committed to implementing political, electoral and legislative reforms aimed at deepening the country's democratic processes as well as the ease of doing business."
The Ministry also revealed that President Emmerson Mnangagwa has established an inter-ministerial committee that will lead into the implementation of the resolutions.
"In this regard, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has established an Inter-Ministerial Task Force to address issues arising from the reports by the 2018 Harmonised Election Observer Missions as well as the Findings of the Mothlante Commission."
The Task Force consists of:
-Minister of Justice (Chairman)
-Minister of Foreign Affairs (Deputy Chair)
-Zimbabwe Law Society Rep.
-Minister of Information
-Minister of Finance
-Minister of Home Affairs
-Minister of Industry
-Minister of State Security
-Attorney General
-Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.
Meanwhile President Emmerson Mnangagwa has revealed that he is appalled by the behaviour of the security forces who are on a rampant killings of citizens after the 14 January violent protests that rocked country.
There are reports of murder, rape and torture that are emanating for the operation.
The Army has appealed to the citizens to report any incident of violence committed by the members of the army.
