Mugabe allies flee Mnangagwa's govt, seek refuge in South Africa

Some remnants of the vanquished Generation 40 (G40) faction have sought refuge in South Africa to escape law enforcement agents who are hunting them down.

Following a crippling national shutdown, a fortnight ago, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) launched a manhunt for several MDC officials, trade unionists and members of the broader civil society accused of fomenting the violence that marred what was supposed to be a peaceful three-day protest.
