Two passengers travelling in a Zambia-bound Kabor Bus were last night shot and injured by robbers at Lion's Den near Chinhoyi.
Police say the robbery involved four suspects all of whom were part of the passengers.
Two of the robbers were armed with pistols.
Police Spokesman for Mashonaland West Province, Inspector Clemence Mabweazara said the robbers first shot at the driver but missed him before firing two other shots which hit and injured two female passengers.
The heist saw many passengers losing money and cellphones which were reportedly collected into a satchel.
After the act, the four robbers disembarked and vanished into the bush and are still at large.
