FC Platinum 0 - 1 Horoya Athletic Club
Zimbabwean champions, FC Platinum found the going tough in the CAF Champions League after they were handed a 1-nil defeat by Horoya Athletic Club of Guinea in a match played at Barbourfields stadium in Bulawayo this afternoon.

The defeat means FC Platinum have slipped to the basement of the log on one point.

A 48th minute spot kick was all what Horoya needed to bag three points  and secure their first win in the group stages.

FC Platinum's dependable goalkeeper, Petros Mhari had fouled Horoya captain, Mandela Ocanay in the box, leading the centre man from Algeria pointing to the spot.

Assoko Maurius stepped up and sent Mhari the wrong way.

The first half had seen the visitors enjoying a lion's share of possession and knocking the ball as if they were playing in their home turf.

FC Platinum strikers failed to test Khalim Ndiaye in between the sticks for Horoya during the first half with two long range efforts from Kelvin Madzongwe the only trials for the home team.

The defeat saw FC Platinum slip to the basement of the log on one point with a trip to Conakry looming.
