ZCTU training youths in violence and destabilisation tactics?

THE MDC Alliance is using the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) platforms to train youths in violence and destabilisation tactics in order to render the country ungovernable and effect regime change.
A ZCTU-affiliated non-governmental organisation, the Labour Economic Department Research Institute of Zimbabwe (LEDRIZ), is conducting countrywide workshops where it is using labour issues as a smokescreen to hide plotting to unseat the Government.
Last Friday, a workshop was held at Oddessy Hotel in Kadoma, where the 50 people who attended were paid US$20 each. The workshop was chaired by ZCTU Mashonaland West provincial chairpeson, Mr Zviito Fungulani, who is also the MDC Alliance councillor for Chegutu.
In interview, Mr Fungulani confirmed the training workshops slated for all towns across the country.
"Citizens should make sure that they have rightful leaders in Government that fully represent them. ZCTU has been providing these services since inception, but this specific training we are doing it in conjunction with our think tank LEDRIZ," he said.
Mr Fungulani said they were also fully behind plans by teachers to boycott lessons this week.
"Government should create a conducive environment so that teachers are always at work. We are backing them to do their planned demonstration. Government should quickly react in (sic) light with the workers' plea."
"Our trainings are centred on the seven rights that include education, health, food, water and sanitation, work, adequate housing and healthy environment. We are doing these trainings in all districts. So far, we have held them in Chinhoyi while other provinces are also doing similar trainings," he said.
The MDC Alliance instigated violence that saw lives being lost and property worth millions of dollars destroyed a fortnight ago.
When the security forces intervened to contain the violence, there was an orchestrated outcry from the MDC Alliance and the West.
Some Western countries funded the demonstrations through the Crisis Coalition in Zimbabwe, an umbrella body of anti-Government bodies that was involved in the planning of violent demos dating back to last year.
